Transit bus is now avalible between Mason City and Iowa City and between Mason City and Ft. Dodge.
Cost is $20 to Iowa City and $10 round trip to Ft. Dodge. Advance resevrations required. Call 641-423-2262 for information or to schedule a ride. MASON CITY to IOWA CITY: Wed and Thurs - Depart from North Iowa Area Council of Government office in Mason City at 6am and depart from Iowa City Promptly at 4:40. MASON CITY to FT. DODGE: Mon and Tues - Depart from North Iowa Area Council of Government Office in Mason City at 8am and arrive at 10am. Departs Ft. Dodge at 2:30pm Iowa Department of Human Services new IowaCare medical home provider is Community Health Center if Ft. Dodge and will serve as the primary care for residents of Winnebago, Worth, and other surrounding counties. IowaCare is a health care program that provides limited services for people who are not otherwise eligible for Medicaid.


Florence Trap Shooting Range - public shooting days thru May
Times are subject to change with inclement weather. $3 per round of 25 targets. 1-0-round punch cards availiable for $30. Shooters must provide their own gun, ammunition and eye/ear protection. Tuesday, May 1: 6:30-8pm; Thursday, May 3: 6:30-8pm; Sunday, May 6: 2-4pm; Thursday, May 10: 6:30-8pm; Thursday, May 17: 6:30-8pm; Sunday, May 20: 2-4pm; Thursday, May 24: 6:30-8pm; Tuesday, May 29: 6:30-8pm; Thursday, May 31: 6:30-8pm.

The Buffalo Center Public Library will host "Creepy Creatures", a Blank Park Zoo program on Tuesday June 26 at 11:00.

Be the first to see Broadway producer/director/actor and Stephens Alumna, Jana Robins, direct this timeless Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, the she appeared in on Broadway. Join 3 sisters, Meg, Lenny and Babe, as their dysfunctional story unfolds in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Each sister faces her own sticky challenges but they soon learn that the strength of the Magrath family is what really holds them together like glue. A charter bus will trasport adults and kids for a fun day at the zoo! Children must be accompained by a responsible adult (or high school babysitter). Cost will be determined by number signed up. Please contact NICD to reserve your spot :)

If needed, leave a message and someone will then be in contact with you to line up a time to meet at the Food Bank in Buffalo Center. Anyone wishing to make a donation should leave their donations at any of the local churches. Requests have been increasing and the following items are needed.
