The Floyd County Historical Society at Charles City is home of the Oliver and the Hart-Parr, the Oliver's predecessor. The Historical Society has acquired a Hart Parr 20-40 and Hart Parr Little Devil at a Texas auction. They arrived in Charles City August 16, 1996. Here are 3 pictures showing them on the low-boy trailer behind the Historical Society after the ride from Texas.
The Prairie Homestead Antique Power and Country Craft Show is held the third weekend of each August at Belmond, IA. For 1996 it featured Ford-Ferguson and Massey Harris. Also on display was a Chamberlain WK40 built in Australia, 2 IHC International 350 Diesel Wheatland Specials, a John Deere 60 high crop, and an F-12 with a cable operated loader. Crawlers included a Holt and IHC T5.
While not an antique, here is a picture of a recent Chamberlain tractor, built in Australia under John Deere ownership.
I am in need of assistance on a current project. I am trying to accumulate a list of antique tractor books with a rating system. If you are an antique tractor fan and have a book you bought that isn't mentioned, e-mail me about it. The rating scale is from highly recommended (5) to bad (0). I am looking for books on history, specifications, repair and maintainance, in and out of print. Any book that is tractor related.
