Welcome to Hanlontown, Iowa
Home of Sundown Day, June 21 and Clayton Rye
Hanlontown, Iowa is located 2 hours north of Des Moines and 2 hours south of Minneapolis next to Interstate 35. The population is (give or take) 200 and has been that way since it was founded around 1900.
On June 21 each year the sun sets between the tracks at Hanlontown.
No, it isn't. It just seems that way to those of us living here.
