one that originally accompanied
the "Thomas" Machine

My Ideal Rope Machine is 8 -5/8
Inches Wide by 4-5/16 Inches Tall
The iron casting for the hook/ crank
arm is length of the crank-arm is 2-7/8 long,
( 2-1/4 inches center to center) The
wood body of this machine is made of Oak

Note on the back side (not shown
on this machine)
there is often a metal wear strip
so that the metal hooks do not pull against
and wear out
the wood frame of the machine as
the cranking of
rope strands pulls on the hooks of the
machine
