1:1 ratio  NO gears, offset  hooks. Turns smoothly.,
The original paint is a light green.  The wood appears to be pine
Extremely rare:  Mine is the only one that I have ever seen.
According to  Greg Davis,  Rope Maker, Cedar Rapids, Iowa
The (Martin) Meyer Rope machine is  Patent # 1,510,691
The machine design with the long base plate  was intended for the
operator's  seat to serve as an anchor to hold the machine.
I  tried sitting  straddled this  rope machine on a saw horse.
