The  Pamplet that came with  the Royal Machine.
Long called his rope tool a "Threader"
Similar functioning rope tools are also commonly
called  "Spreader", "rope needle", and  "rope wrench."

Rope Maker of Arkansas

The Royal Rope Machine
is  simplfied based New Era Machine by Arthur D. Long, who
originally patented the New Era in 1911
I believe that this to be a vary rare machine.
The base that is shown in the sketch on top appears
missing from  of  some of the surving Royal Rope  Machines.
