Now for the details of my `91 Trans Am... and some heat in the slicks

The Trans Am is a mild steel chassis setup with a four link on a Ford 9" containing a Mark Williams spool and axles with 4:88 gears. The car has a strut front end with a twelve point cage tying it all together.

The power for my Firebird comes from a 406 SBC that starts out with a Dart ``little M" block. Inside the motor you'll find a Callies 5140 crank, Comp Cams custom ground cam, Oliver steel rods, Comp Cams lifters, T&D shaft rockers. Outside the block there is Dart 220 heads, Jesel belt timing, MSD distributor and ignition, and sitting on top a Chuck Nuytten 850 carburetor.

The best seat at the track for the show and where the ride begins. Set the launch rpm, shift point, delay box, throttle stop settings and get yourself ready for the tree to start.

Finally to put the horsepower where it will do some good is a TCI 1.76 powerglide, Coan 8" converter, and last but not least a pair of 16" wide Goodyear slicks.

R&S Racing performed the motor work on my small block for the new season. Drop an e-mail to me for further information about R&S Racing.
