Pastor

Our current pastor is Rev. William Peake. “Pastor Bill” came to minister among us in the fall of 1982. He is our longest serving pastor.

Rev. Peake was born in Schenectady, New York where he lived until coming to Iowa in 1971 to attend Central College in Pella, Iowa. It was during his college years that a spiritual reawakening occurred in his life. He became a member of the Reformed Church in America. He married Susan Wiggins of Grand Rapids, Michigan in the summer of 1974 and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Central in Communication and Theatre. Following two years of work, Pastor Bill entered the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa where he graduated in 1980. His first congregation was the Faith Community Church of Eddyville, Iowa. Pastor Bill has served us ever since. Pastor Bill and Sue have 3 sons: Matthew (24), Benjamin (21) and Jonathan (18).
Changing times have enabled our congregation to share our pastor with Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa in Mason City where he is a staff chaplain and pastoral educator in the hospital.
