- Scarville Lutheran Church stained-glass windows: these windows were designed by architect Adrian Hestness, the brother of Scarville member Mrs. Vivian Brudvig, and installed by Invold Leverson and Glenn Bergo in 1968. "We preach Christ crucified!" - I Corinthians 1:23. The stained-glass depicts an abstract-looking Christ on the two-beamed cross. The deep red glass areas represent Christ's blood at His hands and feet into which the nails were driven. The two smaller crosses with the light-colored glass panes abstractly represent the two thieves crucified on either side of Jesus. The remaining green windows most likely show the new life that was won for all by this death of Jesus Christ. "Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life" - Romans 6:4. - |
